1. Quotation of the Month
"There isn’t anyone you couldn’t love once you’ve
heard their story."

2. Conversation Tip of the Month:
How to Kick-Start an Attraction
Want to kick-start an attraction or spice up your
relationship?
Take a hike! A steep one!
Why? Because "Adrenaline
makes the heart grow fonder."
Researcher Elaine Hatfield
found that going through danger, risk, and
excitement together can boost feelings of attraction. You could
spark
attraction on a roller coaster, a shaky foot bridge, or even
in a scary
movie. Or simply arrange to get stuck in an elevator
together for an
hour. What a great place to talk about your deepest fear of
tiny places.

questions:
-
Have you had any
risky, exciting dates or experiences?
-
Afterwards,
did you feel bonded to the person(s) with you?
-
Was the
excitement on purpose or by accident?
-
What wild and
thrilling activities would you be willing to try?
- Do you like mystery
dates? Is it fun not knowing where you're
going or keeping your date in the
dark, so to speak?

3. Word of the Month: eschew (es-CHOO)
verb (used with object)
-to abstain, avoid, or keep away from, as in "He eschews celibacy."
I've never said this word,
and never will because I prefer simpler words.
As Mark Twain said, "Never use a ten-cent word when a five-cent
word
will do." But I ran across it in a book this week. You might,
too.

4. True Story
When model Lauren Hutton was sent to fabled fashion photographer Richard
Avedon, he was dismayed by her inexperience. "He asked me where I came
from, what I did. I told him that I ran, played, and jumped in the swamp."
So he got her leaping for the camera. Three months later: 14 pages in Vogue.
- from O magazine
Avedon's my kind of guy: he
asked a question, listened to the answer,
applied what he heard to his art, and got a magical
result.

What makes you feel loved? What makes your partner feel loved? Has it
ever
dawned on you that maybe it's not the same thing? He washes the cars,
mows the yard, deposits his paycheck and can't understand why she needs
to hear him say "I love you." It's not a male/female thing. You're speaking
different love languages.
I've read dozens of books on relationships and marriage. But one of
them
forever changed the way I relate to my partner. To see which book it is,
