How to Talk to Women: How to Flirt with Women
and Break the Ice

Here's some practical advice for how to talk to women. And
here's a bonus: these tips also work for women who want to meet
men. Let's start with a tip: women love hearing about
themselves. We'll put up with having our hands held, our
faces studied, our body language observed. We'll put up with
intense scrutiny just to hear someone tell us their impressions
of us. And if you can do it well, humorously or
entertainingly, you'll earn our undivided
attention. You not only flirt, you break the ice
successfully. Women want to get to know you better.
Use conversation starters that stimulate
curiosity
What skills or knowledge will help you meet new people and make
them want to talk with you? Here are a few suggestions:
astrology, handwriting analysis, palm reading, face reading,
and even tea-leaf reading.
Are you artistic? Then draw a cartoon or sketch of someone
and give it to her. If you're intuitive, maybe psychic
reading would work for you. It's not a time-consuming
talent.
I don't consider myself intuitive, but I once picked a ring out
of a hat and got several insights into its owner. Holding it
for a few minutes gave me several impressions: 2 girls age
9 or 10, a big front door, a line at a certain angle, and the
letter W. Mind you, I wasn't in a crowded, noisy
room--such as a bar or party--that could hamper my
receptivity, and I did well. The ring's owner had
twin girls, age 10; she hated her house because "The front door
was bigger than the rest of the house"; and her belt was loose
across her lap at exactly the angle I described. The letter W
didn't mean anything, but 3 out of 4 was very good. Maybe
I should hang out my psychic shingle.... Anyway, with a little
practice, it might work for you, too.
Go for connection, not a quick
thrill
Pretending to read someone's palm, using it as an excuse
to hold someone's hand, is a cheap shot. Unless you're a smooth
operator, your phony ploy will be revealed. When
your target jerks her hand back, as she surely
will, she might slap you with it.
On the other hand (cough, cough), if a woman pretends to read a
guy's palm, it's more likely to come across as a way to flirt
harmlessly, especially if she's attractive. Don't blame me for
the double standard because I'm just the
messenger.
Follow
up with interesting conversation
questions
The
purpose of your demonstration is to get your foot in the door.
Leave your audience wanting more, and make the transition
to good conversation topics. You could ask questions such
as these:
- Have
you ever had a reading with a palmist, tarot card reader,
or psychic?
- Did
they give you surprisingly correct
information?
- Did
the information change you or your beliefs in any
way?
- Have you had any psychic
experiences, such as knowing what was going to occur or who
was calling you? (Ringtone cues and caller ID don't
count.)
As you apply these tips and discover
